Remote Financial Accountant

You will be responsible for a broad range of accounting duties, including financial statement preparation, general ledger management, and supporting financial analysis. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and general ledger reconciliations.
• Manage the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll reconciliation.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS) and tax regulations.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and management, via virtual platforms.
• Implement and improve accounting processes and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Support budget preparation and financial forecasting activities remotely.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA , CA(SA) ) is a plus.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in financial accounting, preferably in a similar role.
• Proficiency with cloud-based accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks Online) and advanced Excel skills.
• Demonstrated understanding of IFRS and South African tax laws.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working in a remote team environment.
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines independently.
