Remote Senior Auditor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned and independent Remote Senior Auditor to join their global internal audit team, supporting operations that are managed from Nelspruit . This role is responsible for planning and executing financial, operational, and compliance audits across various business units. You will assess internal controls, identify risks, and provide recommendations for process improvements. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, self-disciplined professional who excels in a remote work environment, capable of managing audit projects from inception to completion with minimal supervision, and committed to upholding rigorous audit standards and best practices from anywhere.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, lead, and execute internal audits according to the annual audit plan.
• Assess the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls.
• Identify and evaluate risks and recommend remediation actions to management.
• Prepare clear, concise, and well-documented audit reports with actionable findings.
• Communicate audit results and recommendations to senior management and audit committees.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with auditees across the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CA(SA), CIA, or CISA designation strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in internal or external auditing.
• Thorough understanding of audit methodologies, risk assessment, and internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO).
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and audit management software.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for effective remote reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple audit projects simultaneously in a remote setting.
