Remote Strategic Sourcing Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and analytical Remote Strategic Sourcing Manager to drive significant cost savings and efficiency improvements within their global supply chain. This is a fully remote position where you will develop and execute sourcing strategies for key categories of spend, focusing on long‑term value, risk mitigation, and supplier innovation. Your expertise in market analysis, supplier relationship management, and complex negotiations will be critical in optimizing our client's procurement function and ensuring a resilient and cost‑effective supply base from wherever you work.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement category sourcing strategies to achieve cost, quality, and service objectives.
• Conduct in-depth market analysis, including spend segmentation, supplier landscape, and risk assessment.
• Lead complex sourcing events (RFx processes) and negotiations for major spend categories.
• Establish and manage key supplier relationships, fostering partnerships that drive innovation and performance improvement.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand business requirements and align sourcing strategies accordingly.
• Monitor supplier performance against contractual obligations and implement corrective actions as needed.

Requirements

• Master's degree or MBA preferred; Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field is required.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, category management, or procurement, with a proven track record of delivering significant savings.
• Demonstrated expertise in leading global sourcing initiatives and managing complex supplier contracts.
• Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in data analysis and financial modeling.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in a remote, collaborative environment and managing distributed teams.
