About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Lead Industrial Engineer to spearhead process optimization and operational strategy in a fully remote capacity. As a lead, you will guide a team of engineers, mentor junior staff, and take ownership of large-scale improvement projects from conception to completion. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership and technical skills, capable of driving innovation and efficiency across the organization through virtual collaboration and advanced analytical methods. You will play a key role in shaping the future of our operations by implementing best practices and fostering a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence, all within a distributed work environment based out of Rustenburg .
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a portfolio of industrial engineering projects, ensuring timely and successful completion.
- Mentor and develop a team of industrial engineers, providing technical guidance and performance feedback.
- Develop and implement advanced strategies for operational efficiency, cost reduction, and quality enhancement.
- Oversee the design and deployment of complex production systems and supply chain optimizations.
- Champion the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to drive innovation in operational processes.
- Present project findings, strategic recommendations, and performance metrics to senior management via virtual platforms.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field; a Ph.D. is a plus.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Demonstrated expertise in operations management, process design, simulation, and statistical analysis.
- In-depth knowledge of Lean Manufacturing , Six Sigma Black Belt certification highly desirable.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage complex projects, and drive significant operational improvements.
- Exceptional remote collaboration, communication, and presentation skills, with a strong ability to influence stakeholders.
