Remote Production Planner

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and organized Remote Production Planner to join their team, supporting manufacturing operations across various locations, including our facility in Pretoria . In this fully remote role, you will be responsible for creating and managing detailed production schedules to meet demand while optimizing resource utilization and minimizing lead times. You will collaborate extensively with supply chain, operations, and sales teams to ensure seamless production flow and timely delivery of products. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed short-term and long-term production plans and schedules.
• Coordinate with procurement and logistics to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
• Monitor production progress against schedules, identifying and resolving potential delays proactively.
• Collaborate with plant managers and supervisors to align production plans with operational capabilities.
• Analyze production data to identify trends, forecast future needs, and suggest improvements.
• Communicate production status, forecasts, and any deviations to relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Production Planner or in a similar supply chain/operations planning role.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production scheduling principles.
• Proficiency in production planning software and ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities, crucial for remote work.
