Remote Network Administrator

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Remote Network Administrator to oversee and manage their IT network infrastructure from a distance. This role is critical for maintaining the stability, security, and performance of the company's network systems, supporting a fully distributed workforce. You will be responsible for network design, implementation, monitoring, and troubleshooting, ensuring seamless connectivity and data integrity. Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and wireless networks.
• Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize speed and reliability.
• Ensure network security by implementing firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls.
• Perform regular network maintenance, updates, and patching of network devices.
• Troubleshoot network issues, diagnose connectivity problems, and restore services promptly.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Network Administrator or similar role, with a strong emphasis on remote management.
• In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP).
• Experience with network hardware from major vendors (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet).
• Proficiency in network monitoring tools and security best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
