Remote Electrical Design Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Remote Electrical Design Engineer to join their distributed engineering team. This position is fully remote, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while contributing to innovative electrical system designs for a variety of industries. You will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and documenting electrical systems, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards. This role requires strong self-discipline, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to deliver high-quality work independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system layouts using industry-standard CAD software .

• Specify electrical components, control systems, and power distribution equipment.

• Perform detailed engineering calculations for load analysis, circuit protection, and voltage drop.

• Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including Bill of Materials (BOM), design reports, and installation guides.

• Collaborate closely with project managers, clients, and other engineers via virtual communication tools.

• Ensure all designs comply with relevant national and international electrical standards and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

• A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in electrical system design .

• Proficiency with electrical CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN).

• Strong understanding of power distribution, control systems, and industrial electrical codes.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage project timelines effectively in a remote setting .

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration.
