Remote Senior UI/UX Designer

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior UI/UX Designer to join their fully remote team, supporting operations based out of Tembisa. This position is critical for enhancing user experience across their digital products, ensuring intuitive navigation and engaging interfaces. You will take ownership of the design process, from user research and wireframing to prototyping and final UI design, collaborating closely with product managers and developers to create seamless digital journeys. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct user research, create personas, and map user journeys to understand user needs and pain points.
• Design intuitive, user-friendly interfaces and engaging user experiences for web and mobile applications.
• Develop wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to effectively communicate design concepts and user flows.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to iterate on designs based on feedback and technical feasibility.
• Conduct usability testing and analyze user feedback to identify areas for improvement and optimize the user experience.
• Maintain and evolve design systems to ensure consistency and scalability across all products.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in UI/UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing complex digital products.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or InVision.
• Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, usability heuristics, and interaction design patterns.
• Experience working effectively in a fully remote, cross-functional team environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present and defend design decisions.
