About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Remote Logistics Planner to join their expanding operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing logistical plans to ensure the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods. Working remotely, you will collaborate with internal departments, external carriers, and suppliers to manage transportation routes, schedules, and inventory levels. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a proven track record in logistics planning. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic logistics plans to optimize transportation routes, modes, and schedules.
- Analyze logistics data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with carriers and third-party logistics providers to ensure timely and reliable delivery of goods.
- Manage inventory flow and warehousing strategies to meet demand and minimize holding costs.
- Collaborate with sales, procurement, and operations teams to forecast demand and plan accordingly.
- Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes impacting logistics and supply chain operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in logistics planning or supply chain management.
- Proficiency in logistics software and planning tools, as well as strong data analysis skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote environment.
