Remote Cloud Network Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Remote Cloud Network Engineer to join their innovative engineering team. This fully remote position will focus on designing, implementing, and managing complex network infrastructures within leading cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. You will be responsible for ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of cloud-based networks, working closely with development and operations teams. The ideal candidate has a strong background in both traditional networking and cloud networking technologies, with a passion for automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage robust and scalable network architectures in major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Implement and maintain cloud networking services, including VPCs, VNETs, load balancing, and DNS.
• Develop and automate network provisioning and configuration using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Ensure the security and compliance of cloud networks through rigorous access controls and threat mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with application developers and SREs to optimize network performance for cloud-hosted applications.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues in cloud environments and provide timely resolutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 2 years focused on cloud networking.
• Proficiency in designing and managing networks in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts, protocols, and security best practices.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools for network automation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a distributed, remote team environment.
