About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative and experienced Remote Industrial Automation Specialist to drive the implementation and optimization of automated systems across their manufacturing facilities. This role is fully remote, requiring a self-motivated individual capable of managing complex projects and collaborating with on-site teams and stakeholders from a distance. You will be responsible for designing, configuring, and maintaining control systems, PLCs, SCADA, and HMI interfaces to enhance production efficiency, reduce manual intervention, and improve overall operational performance. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement industrial automation solutions, including PLC programming, HMI/SCADA development, and robotic integration for manufacturing processes.
  • Provide remote technical support for automated systems, troubleshooting issues and performing system diagnostics to ensure maximum uptime.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams, project managers, and external vendors to define automation requirements and project scope.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including control logic, electrical schematics, and user manuals for automated systems.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in industrial automation technology and recommend innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and competitiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards and industry best practices for automated control systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation and control systems engineering.
  • Proficiency in programming various PLC platforms (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi) and HMI/SCADA software.
  • Experience with network protocols commonly used in industrial automation (e.g., EtherNet/IP, Profinet).
  • Strong understanding of electrical schematics, control panel design, and system integration.
  • Excellent remote communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
