• Position: Computational Genomics, Statistical Bioinformatics Expert (PhD)
• Type: Contract
• Compensation: $120/hour
• Location: Remote

Responsibilities

• Complete realistic, multi-step scientific data-analysis tasks in computational genomics , quantitative biology , and translational biomedicine .
• Independently inspect datasets, perform quality control, and execute analyses in R and Python .
• Navigate ambiguous research workflows by identifying key analytical decisions and potential confounders.
• Use scientific software, code, and command-line tools to generate reproducible analyses and structured outputs.
• Interpret results in the context of biological or translational questions, communicating assumptions and conclusions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of scientists and AI research specialists .

Qualifications Must-Have

• PhD in computational biology, bioinformatics, statistical genetics, quantitative biology, biostatistics, genomics, or related field.
• Deep experience analyzing biological or biomedical data, especially genomics and related omics datasets.
• Professional fluency in R and Python .
• Strong foundation in statistical modeling and experimental design.
• Experience with multi-step computational research workflows.
• Clear scientific writing and documentation skills.

Preferred

• Familiarity with reproducible research practices, including notebooks, scripts, and version control.
