Subsea Systems Engineer - Remote

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Subsea Systems Engineer to join their advanced engineering team, operating remotely to support projects across their global portfolio. This role is central to the design, specification, and integrity management of subsea production systems for offshore oil and gas fields. You will leverage your deep technical knowledge to ensure the reliability and performance of complex subsea equipment, working closely with project teams, suppliers, and operational personnel. Key Responsibilities

• Design, select, and specify subsea equipment, including trees, manifolds, pipelines, and control systems.
• Develop and review technical specifications, engineering drawings, and P&IDs for subsea projects.
• Conduct technical reviews of supplier proposals and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Perform integrity management activities, including risk assessments and inspection planning for subsea assets.
• Provide technical support during fabrication, installation, and commissioning phases of subsea projects.
• Collaborate with offshore operations teams to diagnose and resolve subsea system issues, offering remote guidance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Ocean Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in subsea engineering within the oil and gas industry .
• Expert knowledge of subsea production systems, standards (e.g., API, ISO), and best practices.
• Proven experience in technical analysis, problem-solving, and project support.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
• Familiarity with offshore operations and deepwater challenges is highly desirable.
