Telecommunications Systems Administrator - Remote

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and proactive Telecommunications Systems Administrator to manage and maintain their vital communication systems, operating in a fully remote capacity to support operations near Richards Bay . You will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and troubleshooting of VoIP systems, PBX platforms, and other communication infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and maintain VoIP systems, IP PBX, and related telecommunications hardware and software.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to voice and data communication systems.
• Manage user accounts, extensions, and system settings, providing user support as needed.
• Implement and maintain telephony security measures and best practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Telecommunications Systems Administrator or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of VoIP technologies, SIP protocols, and PBX systems (e.g., Asterisk, Cisco CallManager).
• Experience with network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls related to voice communication.
• Strong understanding of voice quality management and troubleshooting techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, particularly in diagnosing communication failures.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a remote work environment.
