Telecommunications Technician - Remote

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Telecommunications Technician to join their fully remote operations team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting and troubleshooting telecommunications infrastructure, diagnosing network issues, and ensuring the seamless operation of communication systems for the organization. You will leverage your technical expertise to resolve complex problems, manage network configurations, and provide expert guidance to users and technical teams, all while working from a remote location. This position demands a high level of self-discipline, strong analytical skills, and a proven ability to manage critical infrastructure remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve issues related to voice, data, and video communication networks.
• Monitor network performance and implement solutions to optimize connectivity and reliability.
• Install, configure, and maintain telecommunications equipment, including routers, switches, and PBX systems.
• Provide remote technical support to end-users and internal IT teams for telecommunication-related queries.
• Develop and maintain documentation for network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Stay updated with emerging telecommunications technologies and best practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Telecommunications Technician or Network Engineer.
• In-depth knowledge of various telecommunication protocols and technologies (e.g., VoIP, MPLS, Fiber Optics).
• Proficiency in network monitoring tools and diagnostic software.
• Strong understanding of network security principles.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for remote troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively in a remote setup.
