About the Role
Our client is seeking a qualified and licensed Therapist to join their expanding remote mental health practice serving the Durban community. This role is ideal for a professional passionate about providing accessible mental health services through telehealth, helping clients navigate emotional, psychological, and behavioral challenges. You will conduct assessments, provide individual and group therapy, and develop personalized treatment plans. Working remotely, you will play a key part in delivering vital mental health support, contributing to a practice that prioritizes client well-being and utilizes technology to enhance care delivery and reach more individuals in need.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough diagnostic assessments and develop effective treatment plans.
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions via secure video conferencing.
- Monitor client progress and adjust therapeutic interventions as needed.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
- Stay current with best practices in telehealth and psychotherapy.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals when necessary to ensure comprehensive client care.
Requirements
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
- Current, valid professional license (e.g., HPCSA registration as a Clinical Psychologist, Social Worker, or Psychometrist).
- Minimum of 3 years of post-licensure clinical experience.
- Demonstrated experience and comfort with providing therapy via telehealth platforms.
- Strong diagnostic and therapeutic intervention skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport remotely.
