Upstream Process Engineer - Remote

This position focuses on optimizing the design, operation, and efficiency of processes involved in the extraction and initial processing of oil and gas. You will analyze operational data, troubleshoot process issues, and develop innovative solutions to enhance production and minimize environmental impact. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize upstream processes, including separation, dehydration, and gas sweetening.
• Develop process simulations and models to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Troubleshoot operational problems and implement effective solutions to ensure smooth production.
• Participate in Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Collaborate with operations, reservoir engineering, and facilities teams to support project development and execution.
• Prepare technical reports, feasibility studies, and recommendations for process upgrades.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in process engineering within the upstream oil and gas sector.
• Proficiency with process simulation software (e.g., HYSYS, Aspen Plus).
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and mass transfer principles.
• Experience with process safety management and risk assessment.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, suitable for a remote role .
