Warehouse Team Lead (Remote)

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Team Lead to remotely supervise and guide their warehouse operations team serving the Queenstown area. This role focuses on overseeing daily warehouse tasks, ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining safety standards, and supporting team members from a distance. You will be the primary point of contact for remote guidance, performance monitoring, and issue resolution for the on-site team. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent communication skills, capable of motivating and managing a team effectively without direct physical presence, utilizing technology to stay connected and ensure productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide remote leadership and guidance to the warehouse operational team, overseeing daily tasks and workflows.
• Monitor team performance, provide feedback, and conduct remote performance reviews.
• Ensure adherence to all company policies, safety protocols, and operational procedures.
• Facilitate effective communication between the remote leadership and the on-site warehouse staff.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and coordinate with relevant departments for timely resolution.
• Assist in training and development of team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Warehouse Team Lead , Supervisor, or in a similar leadership role.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team effectively, preferably in a remote or hybrid setting.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and safety procedures.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and remote collaboration tools.
• Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities effectively from a remote location.
