Water Resources Engineer - Remote

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Water Resources Engineer for a fully remote position, supporting projects across various regions. This role is critical for the sustainable management and development of water resources, encompassing aspects of water supply, wastewater treatment, stormwater management, and flood control. You will leverage your technical expertise and analytical skills to design innovative solutions, conduct complex modeling, and contribute to the environmental sustainability of communities. Working remotely, you will collaborate closely with a geographically dispersed team of engineers, scientists, and project managers, utilizing advanced digital collaboration tools. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop water and wastewater systems, including treatment plants, distribution networks, and collection systems.
• Conduct hydraulic modeling for rivers, floodplains, and urban drainage systems to assess risk and design mitigation measures.
• Perform feasibility studies and environmental impact assessments for water resource projects.
• Develop water management plans, including strategies for water conservation, flood control, and drought resilience.
• Prepare technical reports, design specifications, and permit applications.
• Collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders to ensure project success.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with a specialization in Water Resources.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA.
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in water resources engineering.
• Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software such as HEC-RAS, EPANET, and SWMM.
• Strong understanding of water quality regulations and environmental best practices.
• Excellent remote communication and project management skills, with a proven ability to work independently and effectively in a virtual team environment.
