About the Role
As a WordPress Engineer at Kanopi Studios, you will build, maintain, and enhance WordPress websites that help our clients achieve their goals.
You will collaborate closely with project managers, technical leads, designers, and other engineers to deliver performant, secure, and accessible digital experiences. Build themes, plugins, and Gutenberg blocks (React/ACF). Create templates and patterns that support Full Site Editing (FSE).
Write clean, maintainable, and performant PHP, JavaScript (React), and CSS/Sass. Manage site configuration, updates, and technical support tickets. Triage and debug unfamiliar WordPress sites quickly and effectively. Participate in peer code reviews and contribute to shared Kanopi libraries and documentation.
Collaborate on technical design of new features and integrations. Communicate proactively and collaborate on problem‑solving while maintaining a supportive, inclusive work style.
