Position Summary Tangent International is seeking an experienced Security Solutions Specialist to support network security operations across a complex multi-vendor enterprise environment. This hands-on operational role focuses on Network Access Control (NAC), network security monitoring, troubleshooting, optimization, and incident response within a large-scale production infrastructure.

Detailed Job Description As a Security Solutions Specialist – Network Operations, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing enterprise network security platforms across a diverse technology landscape. The role requires strong expertise in NAC technologies, AAA services, enterprise routing and switching, next-generation firewalls, and modern data center networking architectures.

You will work closely with network operations teams, security teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure service availability, performance, and security compliance while supporting incident management and operational improvements. This position is ideal for engineers who have strong operational experience and enjoy working within large-scale, mission-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and maintain Network Access Control (NAC) platforms across enterprise environments.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network security infrastructure.
• Manage authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA) services.
• Support RADIUS and TACACS+ authentication environments.
• Troubleshoot and maintain Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) platforms.
• Analyze and resolve production incidents across networking and security layers.
• Support enterprise routing, switching, and network segmentation initiatives.
• Configure and troubleshoot VLAN, TCP/IP, MPLS, and BGP environments.
• Support EVPN-VXLAN deployments and data center networking architectures.
• Work with vendors and internal teams to resolve complex technical issues.
• Participate in incident response, root-cause analysis, and operational improvements.
• Ensure adherence to security standards, operational procedures, and best practices.
• Maintain technical documentation and operational runbooks.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Strong hands-on experience with:

• FortiNAC
• Aruba ClearPass
• Cisco ISE

Strong knowledge of:

• RADIUS
• TACACS+
• AAA Services

Experience with at least some of the following vendors:

• Fortinet
• Palo Alto Networks
• Cisco
• Arista
• HPE Aruba

Experience operating and troubleshooting NGFW solutions.

Strong understanding of:

• BGP
• MPLS
• VLANs
• TCP/IP

Knowledge of EVPN-VXLAN architectures.

Experience within enterprise network and security operations environments.

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Experience supporting live production networks.

Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Fortinet NSE Certifications.
• Palo Alto PCNSE Certification.
• Cisco CCNP Enterprise or Security Certification.
• Aruba ClearPass Professional Certifications.
• Experience within large managed services or telecom environments.
