Job OverviewThe Principal System Architect - Transportation Sensors (m/f/d) Remote is a global leadership role responsible for shaping the transportation sensors market strategy and product portfolio.

This role works closely with customers, sales, product management, applications engineering, and R&D to identify emerging opportunities and define differentiated sensor solutions that drive long‑term business growth.As a recognized subject matter expert, the Principal System Architect (m/f/d) provides system‑level leadership across the organization, translating customer needs, market trends, and technology developments into innovative product concepts, technology roadmaps, and executable requirements. The role serves as a critical bridge between customers, engineering teams, and business leadership to ensure solutions deliver meaningful customer value and sustainable competitive advantage.

Job RequirementsServe as the recognized technical authority for transportation sensing applications, providing deep system‑level expertise and guidance across customers, partners, and internal teamsTranslate market, application, and customer requirements into clear product specifications, system architectures, and development prioritiesAdvise customers on system‑level trade‑offs and optimize sensing solutions to maximize performance, reliability, cost, and ease of integrationDrive early customer engagement and design‑in activities through close collaboration with engineering teams and technical decision‑makersDevelop and deliver application‑focused training programs to elevate technical knowledge across sales, FAE, marketing, and engineering organizationsRepresent the company as a thought leader and subject matter expert through industry forums, trade shows, technical publications, and

digital channelsMonitor market trends, competitive developments, and evaluate emerging technologies to identify growth opportunities and to guide future investment decisionsDevelop customer‑centric value propositions and solution strategies based on market and application insightsDefine and shape mid‑ and long‑term product, technology, and innovation roadmapsLead and sponsor advanced technology initiatives that enable differentiated products and sustainable competitive advantagePartner with Product Management, R&D, Sales, and Marketing to drive product strategy, portfolio development, and future technology investmentsServe as a strategic technical advisor to business leadership by identifying portfolio and technology gaps, shaping long‑term product and growth strategies, and driving innovation through cross‑functional collaboration and customer‑focused technology developmentWhat your

background should look likeBachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline. Technical master’s degree preferred10+ years direct experience within the transportation sensors market in a similar role. Preferred experience with automotive High Speed Rotary SensingStrong understanding of sensor technologies and system‑level integrationDemonstrated experience working with customer engineering teams on technical solutionsAbility to translate complex technical requirements into practical, scalable solutionsCapability to synthesize and simplify complex situations and drive organizational alignment.
