About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Remote Industrial Engineer specializing in Systems Design to join their globally distributed team. This role focuses on conceptualizing, designing, and optimizing industrial systems and processes from a distance. You will leverage your expertise in simulation, modeling, and process mapping to create efficient, scalable, and cost-effective operational blueprints. Working independently, you will collaborate virtually with engineering and operations teams to translate design concepts into actionable implementation plans. This is an excellent opportunity for a forward-thinking engineer to shape the future of industrial operations through innovative remote system design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and model complex industrial systems, including production lines, material flow, and facility layouts, using advanced software tools.
  • Analyze existing system performance and identify opportunities for improvement through simulation and data analysis.
  • Develop detailed technical specifications, process flows, and operational procedures for new and existing systems.
  • Collaborate virtually with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet operational, safety, and quality requirements.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and methodologies in industrial systems design and automation.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for stakeholders, communicating complex design concepts clearly.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • 6+ years of experience in industrial engineering with a strong emphasis on systems design and simulation.
  • Expertise in process modeling and simulation software (e.g., AnyLogic, Arena, Simul8).
  • Proficiency in CAD software and understanding of manufacturing system integration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work autonomously in a remote setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective virtual collaboration.

Benefits

  • Highly competitive salary for remote expertise.
  • Comprehensive remote work setup support, including technology stipends.
  • Flexible working hours and a fully remote work environment.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance plans.
  • Access to continuous learning resources and virtual professional development opportunities.
