Remote Automotive UX/UI Designer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a creative and user-centric Remote Automotive UX/UI Designer to shape the digital experiences within their vehicles. This role is focused on designing intuitive and engaging interfaces for infotainment systems, mobile applications, and connected car features. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and researchers to translate user needs and business requirements into seamless and aesthetically pleasing designs. As a key member of an entirely remote team, you will have the opportunity to influence the user journey of thousands of drivers from your home office.

Key Responsibilities

• Design intuitive user interfaces and engaging user experiences for automotive infotainment systems and companion apps.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and high-fidelity mockups to effectively communicate design concepts.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to iterate and improve designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, software engineers, and marketing.
• Develop and maintain design systems and style guides to ensure consistency across all digital touchpoints.
• Stay current with the latest trends in UX/UI design, mobile, and automotive technology.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience (4+ years) as a UX/UI Designer, with a portfolio showcasing relevant automotive or complex application design work.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or InVision.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and interaction design.
• Experience with conducting user research and usability testing.
• Excellent visual design skills and a keen eye for aesthetics and detail.
