Remote Automotive UX/UI Designer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative Remote Automotive UX/UI Designer to shape the user experience of their cutting-edge automotive technologies. Working from anywhere within South Africa , you will be responsible for creating intuitive, engaging, and user-centric interfaces for in-car infotainment systems, mobile applications, and digital services. You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, and researchers to translate complex requirements into elegant design solutions that enhance the driver and passenger experience. Key Responsibilities

• Design intuitive and engaging user interfaces for automotive digital products, including infotainment systems and companion apps.
• Develop user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups based on user research and business requirements.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to iterate and improve designs.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers and product managers, in a remote setting.
• Establish and maintain design systems and style guides to ensure consistency across all user touchpoints.
• Advocate for the user throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with a portfolio showcasing automotive or complex digital product design.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and visual design.
• Experience designing for mobile applications and/or embedded systems is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, effective in a remote work environment.
