Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive long-term strategic mine plans, including production schedules, reserve utilization, and life-of-mine strategies.
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams in the development of conceptual, pre-feasibility, and feasibility studies.
• Utilize advanced mine planning software to model and optimize mine layouts, sequencing, and infrastructure development.
• Conduct economic evaluations and sensitivity analyses to assess the viability of different mining scenarios.
• Ensure mine plans comply with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior planning engineers and geologists.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mining Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in mine planning and design, with a significant portion in strategic, long-term planning.
• Expert proficiency in leading mine planning software (e.g., Deswik, Vulcan, Datamine).
• Strong understanding of mine economics, feasibility studies, and project finance.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and lead remote, cross-functional teams effectively.
• Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, adaptable to a remote work setting.
