Remote Construction Estimator

About the Role

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Remote Construction Estimator to play a key role in bid preparation and project cost management. Working from home, you will analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates for various construction projects. Your ability to accurately quantify materials, labor, and equipment costs will be crucial for securing profitable bids. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for diverse construction projects, including material, labor, and equipment costs.
• Review project plans, specifications, and other documentation to identify scope and potential risks.
• Quantify materials and labor requirements based on drawings and project scope.
• Obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors, negotiating favorable terms.
• Assist in bid proposal preparation, ensuring all estimates are comprehensive and competitive.
• Maintain a database of historical cost data for future estimating reference.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Estimator .
• Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Accubid, CostX) and takeoff tools.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and market costs.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
