Remote Electrical Automation Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a talented and innovative Remote Electrical Automation Engineer to join their advanced manufacturing solutions team. This is a fully remote position, enabling you to contribute from anywhere. You will be responsible for the design, development, programming, and implementation of automated electrical control systems for industrial processes. This role requires a deep understanding of PLCs, SCADA, HMI, and industrial networking. You will collaborate with clients and internal teams globally to deliver state-of-the‑art automation solutions that enhance efficiency, safety, and productivity in manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement automation solutions using PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems from various vendors.
• Develop and debug control logic and software for automated machinery and processes.
• Configure industrial networks and communication protocols to ensure seamless data flow.
• Conduct remote commissioning and provide troubleshooting support for automation systems.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers and clients to define automation requirements and deliver integrated solutions.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for automation projects, including control narratives and code.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in industrial automation and control systems .
• Proficiency in programming major PLC platforms (e.g., Siemens S7, Allen-Bradley/Rockwell).
• Experience with SCADA software and HMI design.
• Strong understanding of electrical schematics, industrial electrical components , and safety standards.
• Excellent remote communication and problem‑solving skills.
