About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a talented and experienced Remote Medical Writer to join their expanding communications team, working entirely from their home office, serving clients globally from a base in Port Elizabeth . This role is critical in translating complex scientific and clinical data into clear, accurate, and compelling documents for various audiences, including healthcare professionals, regulatory agencies, and patients. You will be responsible for producing a range of high-quality medical and scientific documents, ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines and company standards. Key Responsibilities

• Author, edit, and review a variety of medical documents, including clinical study reports (CSRs), regulatory submissions, manuscripts, and abstracts.
• Ensure all written materials are scientifically accurate, clear, concise, and meet the objectives of the project.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including medical experts, regulatory affairs, and marketing, to gather information and ensure content accuracy.
• Adhere to relevant style guides, regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, EMA), and company SOPs for document creation.
• Manage multiple writing projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality output.
• Contribute to the development of publication plans and ensure compliance with journal and conference guidelines.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in a life science, medical field, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Medical Writer in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• Demonstrated ability to write complex scientific and clinical documents for diverse audiences.
• Excellent understanding of clinical trial processes, regulatory requirements, and scientific principles.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage projects effectively in a remote work environment.
