Remote Process Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing production processes, workflows, and operational data to identify areas for enhancement and cost reduction.
• Design and propose optimized process layouts, material flow systems, and production strategies.
• Develop and implement lean manufacturing and Six Sigma improvement initiatives using virtual collaboration tools.
• Utilize process simulation software to model proposed changes and evaluate their potential impact on performance.
• Collaborate effectively with on-site teams and stakeholders through virtual channels to ensure successful implementation of recommendations.
• Prepare comprehensive documentation, including process maps, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and detailed project reports for remote oversight of operations in Paarl .

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in process engineering, operations improvement, or a similar capacity.
• Proficiency with process simulation software (e.g., Arena, FlexSim) and statistical analysis techniques.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and project management practices.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Effective remote communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in leading virtual project teams.
