Remote Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst

About the Role

Our client is looking for a vigilant Remote Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst to join their dedicated security team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to cybersecurity threats across the organization's network and systems. You will analyze security alerts, investigate potential incidents, and contribute to the continuous improvement of SOC processes and procedures, all from the convenience of your remote workspace. This is a critical role in protecting the company from cyberattacks, requiring sharp analytical skills and a commitment to maintaining a secure digital environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and events from various security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR).
• Analyze security incidents, investigate suspicious activities, and determine the scope and impact.
• Perform threat hunting to proactively identify potential security breaches.
• Escalate and coordinate incident response activities with relevant stakeholders.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of SOC playbooks and operational procedures.
• Stay updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in a SOC environment or similar cybersecurity operations role.
• Proficiency with SIEM tools, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions.
• Understanding of network protocols , security concepts, and common attack vectors.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote setting.
