About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished Remote Senior Civil Engineer with extensive experience in Project Management to spearhead key initiatives within their organization. This fully remote position requires a leader capable of overseeing large-scale civil engineering projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they meet rigorous quality, safety, and budgetary standards. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all phases of complex civil engineering projects, from feasibility studies and design to construction and handover, in a remote setting.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, and ensure their rigorous adherence.
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal engineering teams, external consultants, clients, and regulatory bodies across various locations.
- Oversee the quality assurance and quality control processes for all project deliverables and construction activities.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; PMP certification is highly desirable.
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, with at least 5 years in project management roles.
- Demonstrated success in managing large-scale infrastructure projects from inception to completion.
- Expertise in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6) and civil engineering design tools.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, adapted for a remote work environment.
- Deep understanding of construction methodologies, contract administration, and risk management.
