About the Role
Our client is actively recruiting for a talented and experienced Remote Structural Design Engineer to become an integral part of their distributed engineering team. You will be entrusted with the structural analysis and design of a variety of building and infrastructure projects, ensuring safety, stability, and code compliance. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct structural analysis and design for diverse projects including commercial buildings, residential complexes, and industrial facilities.

- Collaborate effectively with architects, project managers, and construction teams in a remote setting.
- Ensure all designs adhere to the National Building Regulations (SANS 10400) and relevant international structural codes.
- Perform design checks and provide technical oversight to support project teams.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in structural engineering materials, technologies, and design methodologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural specialization.
- Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in structural design and analysis.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, Revit Structure).
- Solid understanding of steel, concrete, and masonry design principles.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to design challenges.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, essential for effective remote teamwork.
