About the Role

You will engage with local communities, research institutions, and policymakers to foster knowledge sharing and capacity building in sustainable agriculture. Key Responsibilities

• Design and manage projects focused on promoting sustainable agricultural techniques, such as organic farming, agroecology, conservation agriculture, and water management.
• Conduct field assessments and data collection remotely, utilizing digital tools and local partnerships.
• Develop training materials and curricula on sustainable agriculture for diverse audiences, including farmers, extension agents, and community leaders.
• Facilitate online workshops, webinars, and knowledge-sharing platforms to disseminate best practices and innovations.
• Collaborate with research partners to evaluate the impact of sustainable agriculture interventions and contribute to scientific publications.
• Advise on policy recommendations to support sustainable agricultural development at local and regional levels.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and reporting requirements in a remote work environment.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and farmer cooperatives.

Requirements

• A Master's degree or higher in Sustainable Agriculture, Agronomy, Environmental Science, International Development, or a closely related field.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in designing and implementing sustainable agriculture projects, preferably in developing country contexts.
• Demonstrated knowledge of a wide range of sustainable farming systems and ecological principles.
• Proven ability to manage projects effectively in a remote or distributed team setting.
• Excellent facilitation and communication skills, with experience in delivering online training and workshops.
• Proficiency in digital collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Slack, Trello, Google Workspace).
• Strong analytical and report-writing skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information.
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in other languages (e.g., French, Spanish, Portuguese) is a significant asset.
