Senior Civil Engineer - Remote

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Civil Engineer to join their fully remote engineering department. This position involves leading the design and planning of a variety of infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, and drainage systems. You will apply your extensive technical knowledge to ensure projects meet all regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and client objectives. Working remotely, you will collaborate closely with project managers, stakeholders, and other engineering disciplines to deliver high-quality, sustainable, and cost-effective civil engineering solutions. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who excels in a self-directed work environment and is passionate about contributing to significant infrastructure development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, analysis, and planning of civil infrastructure projects, including site development, transportation, and water resources.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports, construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Ensure designs comply with all relevant local, national, and environmental regulations and standards.
• Coordinate with external agencies, permitting authorities, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior civil engineers and technical staff.
• Conduct constructability reviews and offer solutions for site challenges, ensuring efficient project execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of 8 years of professional experience in civil engineering design and project management.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Proficiency in civil engineering design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bentley MicroStation, or similar.
• Strong understanding of hydrology, hydraulics, soil mechanics, and traffic engineering principles.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills with proven ability to manage projects remotely.
