Lead Process Engineer (Remote)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Lead Process Engineer to join their innovative Oil & Gas division in a fully remote capacity. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) for oil and gas facilities.
• Conduct process simulations, heat and mass balance calculations, and equipment sizing to ensure optimal system performance.
• Perform process hazard analyses (PHAs), HAZOP studies, and implement safety measures to mitigate risks.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to engineering teams, project managers, and operations staff.
• Oversee process troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions for operational issues.
• Stay abreast of new technologies and industry best practices to drive innovation in process engineering .

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of comprehensive experience in process engineering within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Proven leadership experience managing complex projects and engineering teams.
• Expertise in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, Pro/II) and P&ID development.
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and separation technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills for effective remote collaboration.
