About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Remote BIM Architect to join their innovative design team, working from anywhere in South Africa. This role focuses on leveraging Building Information Modeling (BIM) to enhance design processes, improve collaboration, and deliver high-quality architectural projects virtually. You will be responsible for creating, managing, and coordinating complex BIM models, ensuring seamless integration of architectural elements with other disciplines. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage comprehensive BIM models for architectural projects from concept to construction documentation.
• Collaborate effectively with remote project teams, including architects, engineers, and consultants, using BIM platforms.
• Establish and enforce BIM standards, protocols, and best practices within the project team.
• Generate detailed drawings, schedules, and reports directly from BIM models.
• Conduct clash detection and coordinate with other disciplines to resolve design conflicts.
• Provide training and support to team members on BIM software and workflows.

Requirements

• Degree in Architecture or a related field, with a strong focus on BIM.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in architectural design with at least 4 years specializing in BIM.
• Expert proficiency in Revit and a thorough understanding of BIM principles and workflows.
• Experience with other BIM-related software (e.g., Navisworks, BIM 360) is highly advantageous.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, adept at working in a remote team setting.
• Proven ability to manage complex models and ensure data integrity.
