Remote Chemical Process Consultant

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and independent Remote Chemical Process Consultant to provide expert guidance and support to their operations, including those near Polokwane . This role requires a deep understanding of chemical engineering principles to advise on process design, optimization, troubleshooting, and regulatory compliance, all from a remote location. You will play a key role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our chemical processes without the need for a physical presence at any single site, contributing valuable insights and solutions to complex technical challenges across various projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert consultation on chemical process design, scale-up, and troubleshooting remotely.

• Analyze process data and operational metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency gains.

• Develop recommendations for process modifications, technology upgrades, and best practices.

• Assist in the development of technical documentation, including process flow diagrams and operating manuals.

• Conduct virtual process safety reviews and risk assessments.

• Advise on compliance with relevant industry standards and environmental regulations.

Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering or a related field.

• 10+ years of extensive experience in the chemical industry, with a strong track record in process engineering and consulting.

• Demonstrated expertise in process simulation, optimization, and troubleshooting.

• Proven ability to work independently and deliver high-quality consulting services remotely.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, particularly in a virtual setting.

• Familiarity with various chemical process industries and technologies.
