Booth Partners is looking for an experienced Senior SMSF Accountant to join our team.

This is a genuine work-from-home role for an experienced SMSF accountant who wants to take ownership of their work and manage an SMSF portfolio independently.

We are a long-established accounting firm based in Nowra on the NSW South Coast.

The Opportunity

You will manage an SMSF portfolio from start to finish, including:

• Preparing SMSF financial statements and tax returns
• Using Class Super to complete fund accounts and annual compliance work
• Managing investments, contributions, pensions and member balances
• Ensuring funds meet their annual compliance and reporting requirements
• Following up clients, advisers and auditors when information or clarification is needed
• Ensuring files are complete, accurate and ready for audit
• Keeping jobs moving
• Working through complex SMSF accounting and compliance matters in consultation with the partners.

About You

You will have:

• At least 5 years’ SMSF accounting experience in Australian public practice
• Strong Class Super experience
• The ability to independently prepare and finalise SMSF accounts and tax returns
• A sound understanding of SMSF compliance, pensions, contributions, investments and member reporting
• Great attention to detail and communication skills
• The ability to manage deadlines and work independently in a remote role
