We are working with an established, mid‑size law firm seeking an experienced Employee Benefits/ERISA Attorney to join its sophisticated and growing practice. Responsibilities The successful candidate will have at least six years of experience advising on a broad range of employee benefits and executive compensation matters.

The practice includes counseling clients on the design, drafting, implementation, and ongoing compliance of qualified retirement plans, employee welfare benefit plans, cafeteria plans, ESOPs, and executive compensation arrangements.

Additional experience with IRC Section409A, 401(k) and 403(b) plans, governmental plans, or employee benefits issues arising in mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions is highly valued.

Qualifications • At least six years of employee benefits/ERISA practice experience • Demonstrated knowledge of ERISA, IRC, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and related regulations • Experience advising plan sponsors, fiduciaries, and administrators • Familiarity with IRC Section409A, 401(k), 403(b), ESOPs, and executive compensation plans • Experience with single‑employer plans and law firm practice required • Admitted in the primary state of practice; willingness to seek admission in Connecticut if not already admitted Benefits and Work Arrangement • Competitive compensation commensurate with experience • Bonus opportunity • Comprehensive benefits package • Flexible hybrid work arrangement; fully remote possible for suitable candidates • Collaborative and supportive culture • Strong long‑term growth and advancement potential The firm is known for its collegial culture, accessible leadership, and commitment to professional development.

Candidates should also have experience advising plan sponsors, fiduciaries, and administrators regarding ERISA compliance, fiduciary responsibilities, governance, and day‑to‑day plan administration issues. Strong familiarity with ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code, the Affordable Care Act, COBRA, HIPAA, and related regulatory frameworks is expected.
