About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and independent Remote Agronomist to provide expert agricultural guidance and support across their diverse operations. This fully remote position allows you to leverage your extensive knowledge of crop science, soil health, and sustainable farming practices from anywhere. You will be instrumental in advising farm managers, analyzing crop performance data, and recommending strategies to optimize yield and resource efficiency, contributing to the client's success nationwide without the need for a physical office presence in Queenstown .

Key Responsibilities

• Provide remote expert advice on crop selection, planting, nutrient management, and pest/disease control.
• Analyze agricultural data, including soil tests, weather patterns, and yield reports, to provide actionable insights.
• Develop and recommend tailored agronomic strategies to improve crop health and productivity.
• Conduct virtual field assessments and provide guidance on soil conservation and water management practices.
• Stay abreast of the latest agricultural research, technologies, and best practices to inform recommendations.

Requirements

• A Master's degree or Ph.D. in Agronomy, Soil Science, Crop Science, or a related agricultural field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in agronomy, with a strong understanding of various crops and farming systems.
• Proven ability to analyze complex agricultural data and provide clear, actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively advise clients remotely.
• Proficiency in using agricultural software, data analysis tools, and virtual collaboration platforms.
