About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative and experienced Remote Automotive Diagnostic Engineer to join their forward-thinking team. In this fully remote position, you will leverage your expertise to develop and refine advanced diagnostic solutions for next-generation vehicles. You will work with complex data streams, develop sophisticated algorithms, and collaborate virtually with engineering teams across the globe to troubleshoot and enhance vehicle performance and reliability. This role requires a high degree of autonomy, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a distributed work environment. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of automotive diagnostics from the comfort of your own home, contributing to groundbreaking technological advancements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and validate advanced diagnostic algorithms and software for vehicle systems.
  • Analyze complex vehicle data logs to identify root causes of performance issues and potential failures.
  • Collaborate with hardware and software engineering teams to integrate diagnostic features into vehicle ECUs.
  • Design and conduct remote testing protocols for diagnostic tools and software updates.
  • Create technical documentation, including specifications, user guides, and troubleshooting manuals.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in automotive diagnostics and embedded systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in automotive embedded systems development or diagnostics.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, and diagnostic protocols (e.g., UDS, OBD-II).
  • Experience with data analysis tools and techniques for large datasets.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage projects effectively in a remote setting .
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
