About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned and exceptionally organized Remote Catering Event Manager to lead their event operations from a virtual standpoint, supporting the Upington region. This critical role involves overseeing the entire lifecycle of catering events, from initial client consultation and proposal development to execution and post-event analysis, all managed remotely. You will leverage advanced communication and project management tools to coordinate effectively with clients, culinary teams, suppliers, and on-site staff. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end planning and execution of diverse catering events, ensuring all aspects are handled remotely.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing expert guidance on menu selection, logistics, and event design.
• Develop detailed event proposals, budgets , and timelines, ensuring profitability and client satisfaction.
• Coordinate seamlessly with internal culinary teams, external vendors, and on-site service staff to ensure flawless event delivery.
• Implement and refine operational procedures for remote event management and execution.
• Conduct thorough post-event evaluations, gathering feedback and identifying areas for improvement.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in event management , with a significant focus on catering and hospitality.
• Demonstrated success in managing complex events and leading remote teams effectively.
• Exceptional organizational, project management , and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency with event management software, CRM systems, and virtual collaboration tools.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a strong client-centric approach.
• Deep understanding of food and beverage operations , menu planning, and service standards.
