About the Role

Our client is looking for a dynamic Lead Telecoms Network Engineer to spearhead network initiatives within a fully remote work structure. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, deployment, and management of complex network infrastructure, including core routing, switching, and security solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of network engineers, overseeing project execution and delivery.
• Develop and implement network standards, best practices, and automation strategies to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve high-level network incidents, ensuring minimal impact on business operations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to define network requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending solutions for continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in telecom network engineering, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Expertise in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), switching, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancing.
• Experience with network automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Python) and CI/CD principles.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts (AWS, Azure).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, adapted for a remote team environment.
