About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and remote-based Agricultural Consultant with a specialization in crop science. This role involves providing expert advice and strategic guidance to farmers and agricultural businesses across various regions, focusing on optimizing crop production, sustainability, and profitability. You will leverage your deep knowledge of agronomy, soil science, and crop management to help clients overcome challenges and implement best practices. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct remote assessments of client farm operations, including soil conditions, crop health, and existing practices.

• Develop tailored crop management plans, including recommendations for planting, fertilization, pest and disease control, and irrigation.

• Provide expert advice on crop rotation strategies, soil health improvement, and the adoption of new agricultural technologies.

• Analyze yield data and market trends to advise clients on maximizing profitability and sustainability.

• Stay updated on the latest research, regulations, and innovations in crop science and sustainable agriculture.

• Deliver virtual consultations, workshops, and reports to clients, clearly communicating complex information.

• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to offer comprehensive agricultural solutions.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Agronomy, Crop Science, Soil Science, or a closely related agricultural field.

• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in agricultural consulting or crop management.

• In-depth knowledge of a wide range of crops, soil management techniques , and integrated pest management (IPM).

• Proven ability to analyze complex agricultural data and provide actionable recommendations.

• Excellent virtual communication, presentation, and client relationship management skills.

• Proficiency in using agricultural software, data analysis tools, and virtual meeting platforms.
