About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly skilled Remote Industrial Controls Technician to join their innovative team. While based remotely, you will provide crucial technical support and troubleshooting for industrial control systems across various client sites. This role requires deep expertise in diagnosing and resolving issues with PLCs, SCADA systems, and automated machinery without being physically present on-site, leveraging advanced remote monitoring and diagnostic tools. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated problem-solver with exceptional communication skills, capable of guiding on-site personnel through complex repair and calibration procedures, ensuring operational continuity and efficiency for our clients from anywhere.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide remote technical support and troubleshooting for industrial control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA.
  • Analyze system data and performance metrics to identify potential issues and recommend solutions.
  • Guide on-site personnel through diagnostic procedures, repairs, and calibration processes via remote communication.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for control systems, including troubleshooting guides and FAQs.
  • Collaborate with engineering and field service teams to resolve complex technical challenges.
  • Monitor system performance remotely and proactively identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Industrial Controls Technician or similar role with a focus on automation and control systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley), SCADA, and HMI software.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting industrial automation hardware and software remotely.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and remote coaching skills.
  • Ability to interpret complex technical documentation and system schematics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
