About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Lead Software Engineer to join their innovative Fintech team, operating entirely remotely. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable and resilient backend systems using modern microservices architectures.
• Mentor and guide a team of software engineers, fostering best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate with product managers to define technical requirements and roadmaps for new features and products.
• Ensure the security, performance, and reliability of all software solutions deployed.
• Champion code quality, automated testing, and CI/CD practices within the team.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership role.
• Expertise in one or more backend languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go, C#) and experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and database technologies (SQL/NoSQL).
• Proven experience in building and maintaining secure, high-throughput financial applications.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
