About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and adaptable Junior Architectural Technologist to join their fully remote team, contributing to projects across South Africa . This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for an individual passionate about the technical aspects of architecture and eager to develop their skills in a virtual setting. You will assist senior technologists and architects in producing detailed technical documentation and design development using industry-standard software. The ideal candidate is a quick learner, proficient with CAD/BIM tools, and comfortable collaborating in a distributed team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the creation and detailing of architectural drawings and specifications under supervision.
• Utilise CAD and BIM software (Revit, AutoCAD) to produce technical documentation for various project stages.
• Support the team by conducting online research on building materials, codes, and construction techniques.
• Help coordinate drawings with input from engineers and other consultants in a virtual environment.
• Maintain organized digital project files and drawing registers.
• Participate actively in virtual team meetings and contribute to design discussions.

Requirements

• Diploma or Certificate in Architectural Technology or a related field.
• 0-3 years of experience in architectural practice or a strong internship background.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is essential.
• A foundational understanding of South African building codes and construction principles.
• Excellent digital communication skills and comfort working with online collaboration tools.
• Strong organizational abilities and a proactive approach to learning and task completion.
