About the Role

Our client is actively seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer with expertise in Urban Planning and Design to join their globally distributed team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere. You will be instrumental in shaping sustainable urban environments, contributing to master planning, infrastructure design, and policy development for diverse projects. This role requires a self-motivated individual with exceptional communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively with international teams and clients through digital platforms, driving forward innovative and forward-thinking urban development solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptualization and design of urban infrastructure master plans, including transportation networks, utilities, and public spaces.
• Develop detailed engineering designs for urban development projects, ensuring sustainability, resilience, and compliance with local and international standards.
• Conduct feasibility studies, site analyses, and impact assessments for new urban developments, providing expert recommendations.
• Collaborate virtually with project managers, urban planners, architects, and other stakeholders across different time zones to achieve project objectives.
• Prepare comprehensive reports, technical documentation, and presentations for clients and regulatory bodies, leveraging digital collaboration tools.
• Advise on urban planning policies and best practices, promoting smart city initiatives and sustainable development strategies.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Urban Planning.
• A minimum of 9 years of experience in civil engineering, with a specialization in urban planning and design .
• Proven track record in leading and managing complex urban development projects from conception to completion.
• Expertise in relevant software for design, modeling, and GIS (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS).
• Exceptional ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and communicate professionally in a remote work setting.
• Strong understanding of sustainable urban development principles and smart city technologies.
