About the Role

Our client seeks a creative and strategic Remote Communications Manager to elevate their brand and outreach efforts, particularly focusing on the Stellenbosch community and surrounding regions. As a fully remote position, you will have the autonomy to manage your work efficiently, driving impactful communication strategies from anywhere. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy across all platforms (digital, social media, press releases, etc.).

• Create engaging and high-quality content, including website copy, blog posts, newsletters, and reports.

• Manage the organization's social media presence, fostering community interaction and growth.

• Build and maintain relationships with media contacts to secure positive press coverage.

• Oversee brand consistency and messaging across all communications materials.

• Monitor communication trends and adapt strategies to maximize reach and engagement.

• Collaborate with program teams to highlight successes and community impact.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in communications, PR, or content management, ideally within the non-profit sector.

• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.

• Proven experience managing social media platforms and developing content calendars.

• Strong understanding of digital marketing principles and SEO.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
